For a journey back in time

Step back in time and travel through the fascinating story of road transport in Lincolnshire! Come and get a feel for how people used to travel, see how engineering has developed and learn how public transport has changed and shaped the way we live today.
Our preservation adventure began back in 1959 and today our collection has grown to over 60 remarkable vehicles—including buses, cars, vans, fire engines, motorcycles, and bicycles. Each one has its own story, with many lovingly restored by our dedicated volunteers.
It’s not just about the vehicles, either. See our treasure trove of transport memorabilia from road signs to ticket machines, models to timetables and photographs to uniforms!
Have a look round our modern workshop where our collection is restored and maintained. Many of our vehicles are not only static exhibits, they’re fully roadworthy too! Why not join us at one of our special events to experience some of our buses and cars out on the road.

The Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum is run entirely by volunteers of the Lincolnshire Vintage Vehicle Society.
We are one of the oldest preservation societies in the UK, established in 1959.
The LVVS is a volunteer-run organisation with no regular funding from central or local government.
Therefore, we really appreciate any donations – large or small!
“A fantastic museum run by real transport enthusiasts with some rare vehicles on display.”
